As expected, the software giant Microsoft today officially released the Release Preview (Release Candidate, Build 8400) version of Windows 8 and have made it available for download in 14 languages.
Windows 8 Release Preview is the final pre-release of the new Windows OS before entering the RTM (Release to Manufacturing) stage. According to Microsoft, Windows 8 Release Preview includes Windows 8 itself, Internet Explorer 10, new Windows 8 apps for connecting to Hotmail, SkyDrive, and Messenger (and many more), and hundreds of new and updated apps in the Windows Store.
Windows 8 Release Preview System Requirements:
Windows 8 Release Preview should run on the same hardware that powers Windows 7 today. In general, you can expect Windows 8 Release Preview to run on a PC with the following:

1 GHz or faster processor
1 GB RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

However, there are some additional requirements to take into consideration in order to use certain features in Windows 8. In order to use the Snap feature, you will need a PC with a 1366×768 resolution or higher. If you want to use touch, you’ll need a multitouch-capable laptop, tablet, or display. Windows 8 supports up to five simultaneous touch points, so if your hardware doesn’t, you may find typing on the onscreen keyboard and using certain controls more of a challenge. You’ll also need an internet connection and a screen resolution of at least 1024 x 768 to try out the Windows Store, to download and install apps, and to take your settings and files with you from one Windows 8 PC to another.

Note: Although Windows 8 Release Preview is stable and has been thoroughly tested by millions of people, it’s not the finished product. Your PC could crash and you could lose important files. We strongly recommend that only experienced PC users download Windows 8 Release Preview and do NOT use it on production systems. Back up everything that is important to you before you install the preview. While we don’t expect any serious problems, regular back ups are a good thing regardless of whether or not you are using beta software.

An ISO image must be converted into installation media stored on a DVD or a USB flash drive. On Windows 7, the easiest way to convert this file is to use Windows Disc Image Burner. On Windows XP and Windows Vista, a third-party program is required to convert an .iso file into installable media—and DVD burning software often includes this capability.
